Spouse Open Work Permit
It is a work permit that is not job-specific and because of that, you will not need the following when you apply for your work permit: a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada; or proof that an employer has submitted an offer of employment through the Employer Portal and paid the employer compliance fee.

- Passport
- Valid Study Permit – belonging to the full time McGill Student
- Immigration Canada Application Fee: $155 + New $100 Fee (as of Feb 21, 2015)= $225
- All of your supporting documents : Proof of Medical Exam (If applicable), Marriage License / Certificate (translated in either English or French), or proof of Common-Law partnership.
